Hippie History

I just found out that the Internet is teeming with history of the 60’s from the point of view of the yippies and hippies, freaks, acid-heads, long-hairs, back-to-the-earthers, free love advocates, peaceniks, radical leftists and what-have-you.  I am now wondering why this surprised me. Surely one of the glories of the Internet is the ability to get your version of reality out there, uncensored and intact.

It just struck me as especially sweet that I could see Alicia Bay Laurel’s crazy quilt (which, incidentally, looks a lot like mine) on a Hippie Museum page I found by googling The Farm to make sure I spelled “Gaskin” right.
